Drugs and Alcohol Policy

Policy Statement

WMA Engineering Co. Ltd strictly prohibits the use, sale, solicitation, or transfer of drugs, other controlled substances, or alcohol, and prohibits any employee from reporting or being at work under the influence of drugs (unless medically prescribed), wherever such work is being performed, including off company property and when off duty.

This prohibition includes the operation of any Company vehicle, equipment, and private vehicles used in furtherance of Company work or when off duty.

HSE Policy Statements

Our statement of general policy is:

  • To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
  • To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
  • To provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
  • To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
  • To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health;
  • To maintain safe and healthy working conditions; and
  • To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.

Personal Protective Equipment Policy

Policy Statement

WMA Engineering Co. Ltd shall provide employees adequate personal protective equipment where necessary in the performance of their duties.

Electrical Protective Devices

Electrical protective devices (i.e., rubber insulated gloves, sleeves, matting, blankets, covers and line hoses) shall be provided to the employees when working with high voltage electrical hazards. Use of these devices will be governed by the requirements outlined in the Electrical Protective Devices Standards.

Eye and Face Protection

Appropriate eye and face protection shall be provided to the employees when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, or potentially injurious light radiation.

Safety Glasses

Operations requiring safety glasses include:

  • Grinding or use of abrasive wheels
  • Use of power saw
  • Use of staple guns
  • Use of power tools (drill, sander, etc.)
  • Machining
  • Other similar type operations

Foot Protection

Appropriate protective footwear shall be provided to the employees when exposed to hazards of the foot such as crushing hazards caused by falling or rolling objects, objects piercing the sole, electrical shock hazards and chemical hazards.

Head Protection

Appropriate head protection shall be provided to the employees when working in areas where head injuries could occur from falling objects, contact with stationary objects, or contact with electrical shock hazards.

Hearing Protection

Hearing protection must be worn by employees exposed to high noise levels.

WMA Engineering Co. Ltd gives priority to time management, while doing proper jobs on time is a core concept. Our staff are always under pressure to shorten project lead times and reduce project duration, requiring careful planning to ensure that this pressure does not compromise design integrity. So we believe that our good time management is a reason for our success.

WMA Engineering Co. Ltd applies time and task management techniques which help properly utilize the lead-time of every single process according to priorities and necessities.

  • Define priorities and critical path for each project
  • Plan lead times for every process stage
  • Allocate tasks according to necessity and capacity
  • Monitor progress against schedule milestones
  • Adjust plans early to protect design integrity and delivery
